An utterly inscrutable face ... black voids where eyes would be ... a ghostly shawl ... a lattice of possibly dead vines in the background ... it's all very sepulchral, but oddly enough not off-putting ... weirdly, splendidly engaging instead.
I like the degree of under exposure on the background....... or, more properly, I like the exposure for the highlights. The deeply shadowed eyes; the pronounced lips and nose; the disappearing hair; all working together.
hello again - not at the moment - the T-Max I have ordered are not here yet; also, because i am SUPPOSED to make some images for an upcoming exhibition - I am of course slacking. But foremost, I am looking forward to the arrival of a friend from the US - he's supposed to bring me the Canon 50 1.4 lens I have ordered - the old 1.8 is pretty tired and I really like that focal.
